SAThread History

In 1999, Mr. Billy Yan and his friends co-founded SAThread with a focus on international trade for garment accessories. Their aim was to provide superior products from China to foreign customers. Upholding values of professionalism, integrity, and innovation, SAThread quickly gained the trust of customers and experienced rapid growth. Today, after more than 20 years of development, SAThread has evolved into a multinational group with diverse businesses, including international trade and textile manufacturing. With a workforce of over 3000 employees in more than 40 countries, SAThread continues to thrive.

1999-2004

◈ SAThread was founded in 1999 with 10 staff.

◈ The first factory in the industry zone for embroidery thread was set up in 2003.

◈ The first lace factory was established in 2004.

2005-2010

◈ SAThread's second industrial zone was built in 2005 and has a workshop spanning 128,000m2 for lace, ribbon, and tape production.

◈ In the same year, SAThread established its first overseas branch in Nigeria to provide customers with timely local service.

◈ Two years later, in 2007, SAThread built its third industrial zone with a workshop spanning 15,000m2 for sewing thread production.

◈ SAThread's new strategic map divides its business into four business unions: International Trade BU, Overseas Invest BU, Lace BU, and Industry BU.

2011-2019

◈SAThread's new 3D warehouse, spanning 20,000m2, was established in 2012. With this new warehouse, SAThread can provide customers with more convenient logistics services.

◈In 2015, SAThread built the Hunan industry zone, which includes a 220,000m2 workshop for sewing thread.

◈SAThread also established a lab for threads and lace products, which serves as a new safeguard for product quality.

◈To improve efficiency and environmental friendliness, SAThread invested in new advanced energy-saving dyeing machines for their thread factory.

◈In 2019, SAThread constructed a new office building that can accommodate over 2,000 staff.

2024

The embroidery lace production line with an annual output of 18 million meters officially commenced operation.
